High-performance intercooler kit – Mercedes-Benz M271 1.8 Kompressor / Eaton M65

Complete upgraded intercooler kit designed for Mercedes-Benz vehicles equipped with the M271 1.8 Kompressor engine and Eaton M65 supercharger.

The larger intercooler core more effectively reduces intake air temperature, improves flow, and limits performance drops caused by the heating of the forced induction system.

The kit can be used in both stock and modified vehicles – especially in configurations equipped with a smaller supercharger pulley.

Benefits of using a larger intercooler

Reducing the pulley diameter increases the operating speed of the Eaton M65 supercharger. This leads not only to an increase in boost pressure but also to higher compressed air temperatures.

An upgraded intercooler helps to:

• limit power loss resulting from system heat soak;

• upgraded aluminum intercooler;

• two red silicone elbows;

Important information

The supercharger pulley visible in some reference photos is not part of the kit.

The 60 mm pulley, Eaton M65 supercharger, drive belt, oil, and installation service are not included unless ordered separately.

Installation

Installation should be performed by a workshop experienced in servicing Mercedes-Benz M271 engines and mechanical forced induction systems.

During installation, check the following:

• the integrity and leak-tightness of the entire intake system;

• correct alignment of pipes and elbows;

• the condition of clamps and all connections;

• clearance between hoses and moving or hot engine components;

• the condition of factory mounting points;

• the condition of the air filter and filter housing;

• the operational health of the Eaton M65 supercharger.

Depending on the vehicle version, there may be slight differences in hose routing or installation methods.

Once work is complete, perform a system leak test and check engine performance parameters under load.

Recommended supplementary modifications

When using a smaller supercharger pulley, we recommend:

• checking the condition of the supercharger bearings;

• checking the oil in the supercharger;

• thoroughly cleaning the filter housing and the entire intake tract;

• using a high-quality air filter;

• inspecting the belt, tensioner, and idler pulleys;

• performing diagnostic software scans after modifications;

• monitoring intake air temperature;

• checking air-fuel mixture parameters.

Contaminants entering through the filter or a leaking intake system can cause damage to the rotors and the supercharger housing.
